The new telescopes are much larger and provide crystal clear views of stars and galaxies which are located million if not billions of light years away. During the 2014 meeting which took place in. January the american astronomical society discovered an enormous spot in the sky, which is seen through a lens which is more than 500 000 light years wide. But the lens is actually a massive cluster of galaxies called the abell 2744.
