In creative illusionism, they are revealing something about themselves and are creating the illusion that it is nomothetic (appeals to everybody: paradigms/models/theories: personality theories serve as models" of the human psyche, nomothetic: theories that apply to the general population, the fortune cookie error", idiographic: theories that apply to only the individual, only valid for you and your personal experiences, personality/character: long standing and stable over the lifespan, definition: the set of psychological traits and mechanisms within the individual that are organized and relatively enduring and that influence his or her interactions with, and adaptations to, the intrapsychic, physical and social environments. Freud: parapraxis: behaviors that may seem accidental (ie. freudian slip), but have some sort of important meaning normal every day psychosis, psychic determinism: primary process and everything has unconscious conflicts, determinist: freud believed that everything is predetermined, economic theory/dynamic, dynamic: the system is active and constantly seeking expression.
