The unity of life: cell membrane: regulates the flow of nutrients that enter and waste that exit the cell, dna is the genetic material, rna translated into protein, proteins are used as enzymes which are catalysts, basic chemicals: carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids.
