Using our sociological imagination allows us to make the familiar strange or to question habits or customs that seem natural to us. Social structure is larger than the individual, but is made up of individuals. Networks of structures in society that socializes groups of people. A complex group of interdependent social positions, connected by social relations, that perform a social role and reproduce themselves over time: ex: legal system; labor market; language itself. Social institutions have a great influence on peoples" behavior and are constantly changing.
