Ambiguous stimuli: rorschach inkblot test- 10 bilaterally symmetrical inkblots, scoring is very complex. Tat ambiguous pictures: asked to male up a story to explain the picture, same problems as rorschach. Trait- relatively stable/ consistent characteristic that can be used to described someone: early trait theorists, gordon allport a hierarchy.
