Because of having dialogue with his informants, the author claims to have understood this culture for its own terms. Culture = semiotic one that holds that a culture is a loosely integrated system of signs created by dialogue in the communicative act between an anthropologist and his informants. To identify the definition of culture = it would be the sign. The sign = the represent amen, the object and the interpretant = these are called the firsts, Sign = 3 modes: iconic, indexical and symbolic. The first sound or word a child says = quality. According to the myth, the generative-degenerative process was triggered by the disturbance of a state of perfect equilibrium and equipoise. Knowledge about the other and knowledge about oneself may appear to be different and distinct. In the tamil world view, knowledge about the other, or object knowledge, is but an extension of self-knowledge. This double knowledge can be acquired in two ways.
