February 12, 2014: both forms of archaeology include promoting, protecting and conversing archaeological heritage, and the dissemination of that knowledge, stewardship: stewardship involves having care for and promoting the conservation of the archaeological record. 1 constitution: to recognize the cultural and spiritual links between aboriginal peoples and the archaeological record. Ii aboriginal involvement: to encourage partnerships with aboriginal communities in archaeological research, management and education based on respect and mutual sharing of knowledge and expertise. Iii sacred sites and place: to recognize and respect special places and features on the landscape, respect protocols governing the investigation, removal, curation. The ministry of culture (tourism and sport: this ministry enforces part vi of the ontario heritage act. This portion of the act determines priorities policies and programs. Ontario heritage act: among other provisions the act makes it illegal for anyone but a licensed archaeologist to knowingly disturb an archaeological site.
