Conditioning & attraction: reinforcement theorists and the three facts regarding attraction, proximity increases the chances of classical conditions, it is pleasant to look at attractive people. We associate the pleasant feeling with the attractive person: similar people confirm our views. Male participants worked on a word task creating words from letter. Attractive confederate in another room working the same task. After task was completed, participants were asked to transfer their extra tiles to the woman. The woman either transferred her credits or thanked the participant (cid:224) under what condition do the participants liked the woman more. Under communal relationships, participants liked the woman if no credit was transferred and she just said thank you; under exchange relationship, they liked the woman more when they transferred the credit. Participants worked on a task that had either high (an intelligence task) or low (a psychological study) relevance to them. All received negative feedback on their performance.
