Document Summary
Stakeholders: the people that you have to talk to, and that will be involved in system. It is to figure what you really need to do. It is the people who will influence the requirements. It is the users, managers, and people who develop and maintain the system: external bodies that regulate the system. Requirements document: an official statement that contains all the required requirements. It is meant for the users and developers: size of document depends on the contents. It has different names such as: functional specification, requirements definition, software requirements specification (srs, safety reliability plan. Figure out what the requirements are based on the stakeholders requests, other documentations, and domain knowledge: analysis. Top 10 requirements guidelines: define a standard document structure, you shouldn"t be searching for something all the time. It"s like a checklist: think about what you need to talk about.
