Paying too much or too little for work. Grievances that could cost millions of dollars and waste time. Poor management and leads to bad employee relations. Considerations given to the choice of the operator to be time studied should be someone who is thoroughly acquainted with the new technique before the operation is studied. If the working conditions improve, the allowance can be diminished. Conversely, if the working conditions become poorer, the allowance should be raised: differentiate between constant and variable elements. Constant element: an element whose times remains constant, cycle after cycle when changes in the process or dimensional changes in the product occur. Variable element: an element whose time varies within a specified range of work: what advantages does the continuous method of watch recording offer over the snapback.
