Associative learning: behaviour changes occur when the response to one stimulus previously occurred in relation to another. Pavlov--> us, ur, cs, cr: appetitive conditioning (pleasant) vs. aversive conditioning, pigeons associate light with food, go wherever the light is (sign tracking), autoshaping. Aversive: eye-blinking response to puff of air in eye, fear conditioning (and conditioned suppression --> stop doing the response, conditioned and unconditioned responses can differ, the cr falls into one of the stages of behaviour systems approach. Sr learning: when the cs elicits cr directly. Ss learning: when the cs activates representation of us and then generates cr.
