First three stages, don"t understand that there might not be one right answer. Stage 4 & 5- recognize uncertainty, beginning to make use of evidence. Post-secondary education: 60% some post-secondary: highest % in the world. Which creates a problem because now everybody"s on the same page so job is not guaranteed even if after you graduate university: 48% completed post-secondary. 25-34 yr olds 33% women & 25% men have a degree. 55-64 yr olds 16% women & 21% men have a degree. 20% cdn born & 51% new immigrants have a degree: coming with whole lot training. Twice likely to be a women : maybe because maternal care. Inclusion on campus: stereotype threat: self-fulfilling prophecy: (eg. you are in a group and you are assumed not to perform well in academic performance. Because if you try and fail that would support the stereotype and that would hurt even more.
