You can measure these by doing the personality inventory test. (1-7) Our personality can be changed over time. If they are more extreme in one field, they can come down to moderate. Best way to access whether personality change or stay over time. 20-70 years old, and each participants were tested twice and 9 years apart. The closer to you are at 1, the more similar your personality was 9 years ago. If you are closer to 0, that means you have really changed (graph) General trend is that people stay the same, but sub group of people even show substancial change. Looking at age related change, more further and found that that change would most likely to occur if you were younger (under 30). This study was independent of education, sex, social status etc. When we are younger, we have more room for change. There are gender difference in late adolescence in adulthood.
