Properties of light: length: hue (or colour, amplitude: brightness, purity: saturation (richness) Different wavelengths of light is our experiences of color- hue=wavelenghts. Blue- 2100 nanometers: anatomy of the eye, cornea: covers iris & pupil protecting it from dust, etc. Cornea- does most of refractive work (can tear with contacts). Zf- pull on the lens, make it focus. Ah-- watery, ch- more gelly, thin layer of cell at back of cells. Fovea contains only cons- high visual acuity, see things in great detail. Know the anatomy: anatomy of the eye. 9: anatomy of the eye, vitreal floaters: debris too large for phagocytic consumption. How far we can see depends on how far light travels. You can see as far as light can touch your cons- no limit: the retina. Rods/cons- photo receptors, last layer that light detects. Light comes in r l, dectected by rods/cons, then signal.
