Objectivism- deciace an observable topic, something you can study. Positivism- scientific method, it can be used by everyone. Constuctionist: construction of society, product of social institutions, political institution, address the idea of relativism, will behave like they are labled. ] labeling, rule making. We don"t believe when people in power commit deviant acts. Subjective- ex battered wife syndrome: assaulted women who takes vengeance and kills him. War- us vs them, informal quote of common goe for police officers and jail mates alike. Socialism- changes personality, you are no longer trusted by other by rating them out; informal set of codes and norms. Formal codes are actually laws that are official with official punishments. Deviance status: changes over time, what was acceptable 10 years ago is not allowed today. Ex: if you saw parent slap child, you would tell, if you saw 2 people banging then you prb wouldn"t there are certsin types of issues that will cross the line.
