Control antecedents (queues that trigger the craving) Goal (lead them to come up to their own conclusion) Process (point out discrepancy and how the person is today and how they would like to be ideally) Can include (biological measures(ie smoker using the patch as opposed to performing the act of smoking), learning techniques, stress management, coping skills, counselling) Relapse rate -30% alcoholics, 80% smokers, 40-45% 4 months-self-initiated.
