The people from that moment can be seen as a shift from formula, to seen as people doing everyday things. Obtains the sense of status, static, oppressive, fortified and it faces the square. It is the centre (piazza) of florence because it is a public gathering. Beside this you have the logia for private meetings. It is a moment of time with roman history. The middle class is emerging with higher class; therefore, art is expanding to more viewers.
