Culture: total pattern of a group s customs, beliefs, art, and technology y a culture is a group s common way of life, passed on from generation to the y next. Influences how we develop, how we behave, how we see the world, and how we experience life. Globalization: the increasing connections between different parts of the world in trade, travel, migration, and communication. Developed countries: world s most economically developed and affluent countries, with the highest median levels of income and education. College and other postsecondary education is only for the wealthy elite. Developed countries tend to be based on individualistic values. Individualistic: cultural values such as independence and self-expression. Collectivistic: cultural values such as obedience and group harmony.
