Interest in landscapes and observing nature (an interest is observing the person as they are) (not just landscape, but all elements of it) The very rich hours of the duke of berry. It is a calendar that displays seasonal changes throughout. The focus is a documentary chronicle of the events that happen around him. The peasants are shown doing their regular activities, but they are idealized.
