Sexual relations: imposes tahitians with guilt y christian doctrine, criticizes missionaries y saying that european society may not be the best, not the centre of civilization, others function well on their own y y. Imperialism: colonization different: form settlements, bring over colonials, etc, imperialization: military order, rule from a distance. Impose rules on people/natives when they don t want to conform. Religion y deism: how you view religion, belief in god is reasonable/rational, didn t think god played a role in everyday life.
