Adaptive solution to earlier problems of our ancestors could be maladaptive to us now. Relatively new behaviours that do not reflect our evolutionary heritage can be considered by-products of those adaptive solutions. Cultural brain systems, neuro- chemical, genetic perception, cognition, behaviour group dynamics, influence ethnicity, norms, values, symbols. It is now widely recognized that both nature and nurture are important.
