When looking at public policy we concentrate on a number of factors that influence policy. One is the idea of priorities and the impact of different interests on the formulation of policy. This fall the budget the debt ceiling, and tax policy will be debated. Please evaluate the use of government spending as an indicator of priorities and how public policy (both formation and analysis) can play a role to help produce a better outcome.
