Old regime: traditional social order no longer existed, french revolution was destructive because it sought to get rid of what had existed before. Aristocracy: privileged nobility were "attacked" during the french revolution, privileged blood ceased to exist, their privileges dad as well. Relation between church and state was forever changed.
