Document Summary
Stroboscopic movement; same thing, just associated with more complicated stimuliflip book. Interplay between distance and size, can influence each other, personally i think the distance is much stronger then the size cue. The thing that is tricking your system here is the height and linear perspective(lines that get higher in the visual field) The left corner is twice as far away as the right corner. 1st illusion is that the room is cubed, it"s not a parallelogram (using a peep hole you lose the binocular cues/retinal desparaty) Most rooms are cubed, and almost every room is like that, so when you look into this room you have that appearance. Black paper reflects only about 10% of the light that hits it, and white paper reflects about 90% of the light that reflects it. Bottom up processing; get the exact same amount of light reflecting from the bar (same lightness, same amount of light being reflected off of them.
