With the construction of more institutions (medicine, criminal justice, psychiatry) religious authority has declined. According to clolin james hockey is canada"s national religion that constructs of collective effervescence. Collective effervescence comprises the common sentiments and values that people share as a result of living together (e. g. passion for hockey within canadians) Collective conscience shared values through living together.
