Manifest content (what the dream appears to be about). Latent content (the true underlying meaning of the dream). Transference- the patient unconsciously transfers conflictual feelings about significant others onto the analyst. **3 part short answer question based on these therapies** Maladaptive behaviours are acquired through faulty learning and therapy attempts to help the patient unlearn these problematic behaviours: it"s not necessary to uncover the causes.
