Document Summary

Lewis was originally a profound atheist, and later converted to a theistic position, *daimon: unique, in born, ideal possibility (everybody does everything for the sake of the good at least the intention is always for the good. Thus, you see each other as each other"s good). Not something that we can change, but something that we are in our very individuality. No one person can represent a person"s daimon. It is not static, and it is something to be fulfilled. When we see the daimon of another person, we see what that person is growing towards. This daimon can be referenced to a lover and their beloved. The two wants to be fruitful with one another, and want to reproduce; produce something beyond ourselves. They desire to be one with the other forever, and the only way they can do that, is if they produce something beyond themselves. Procreation is not simply biological, but also intellectual, spiritual, etc.
