Document Summary
Stalin doesn"t have anyone like goebbels that can help to control leadership propaganda. Stalin decided to supervise the propaganda himself. The bolshevik party was relatively new and unpredictable. Equal opportunity, land distribution, etc. were all ideas of marxism that were actually detailed in the planning. Village reading room: strictly unique to the russian system, the country was one of illiteracy, and it was lenin"s idea to educate the population. These reading rooms were buildings that already existed in each village, became the community centres: people from lenin"s regime would come to the buildings to teach the people to read and write. It was a fairly successful attempt. (this was not needed in. Germany because germans could already read and right. ) It was usually either a priest or a member of the bolshevik party who taught the citizens: he did this so that people could read marx"s doctrine.
