Peripheral nervous system the nerves attached to the spinal cord and the base of the brain. A bundle of nerve fibers attached to the base of the brain. Conveys sensory information from the face and the head and carries messages to muscles and glands. Spinal nerves- sensory information from the rest of the body to the spinal cord and the brain. Primary control of physiological functions and automatic behaviours.
