If soil has slight contamination than its better to grow grain so that its going to have least. Not carrots coz they are the roots and high conc. You can grow potato too coz potato is not a root its a storage. Mercury is toxic and can also go thru the gloves!. Just some drops that will go on a person is enough to kill an adult. Very toxic its form can kill you but the least toxic state is its liquid state.
