In 1974 there are only 40 demos in the world and are in industrialized countries. Demo expands dramatically after 1974, greece"s military rule collapses and the. 1979-85 many militaries withdraw in favour of popular rule. by the mid 1980"s the 3rd wave spread to asia, korea"s military also withdraws. - the two superpowers were on the brink of a nuclear exchange.
