The great hall of the people (completed in sept. 1959) spans 1kmx1km. Representative of religion, party and state of the people. 34 regional halls to represent the 34 provinces of china the main hall of the great hall of the people is supposed to encompass the universe with the red star representing the prc in the center. China agricultural museum: used as a military base.
