Alot of chicken are physiologically altered to grow in areas most consumed to maximise production and profit: e. g. breast. Companies contract the farms and trap them in debt by requiring them to have the latest equipment etc: typical farmer with 2 chicken farms has debt of over ,000 and earns about ,000 only. Industrial food production: alot of the food we eat contains corn and rearrangements of it, corn is probably the most produced food in us. It is sold below the value of production. It is also the main ingredient in feeding farms. So cows are even eating corn instead of grass, making them grow fat quickly.
