Exam- essay (3 eccs) don"t introduce the answer, just answer it- don"t list, explain the items in the list- accuracy does matter. Eccs matter because it explains why politics is so full of debate/ arguments because these concepts are opinionsm value based, always changing and adapting. Naturally free, rational being who can decide what they want. Rejects the idea of tradition and the group: no decisions based on community, traditions impose upon your decisions and your now. A large state can only limit your freedoms want a bare minimum state: large states restrict negative liberties, need police (not wolves and sheep) some protection laws. Closer to socialism/ marxism/ communism: different relationships with the state. Community is really important- the group frame: also an individual"s streak (need freedom) Negative liberties are important (core: no leader leads to no impositions. Positive liberties: focus on community therefore needed (debate needs = greater freedom)
