Minoans got their name from king minos the king who insulted zeus so he punished him by having his queen get pregnant by a bull. Mycenae was founded by the greek the hero perseus and his wife andromeda after his exploits. giving rise to the perseid dynasty. Mycenaeans take over minoans and they both cease to exist at the start of the dark ages 1200bc. Able to further skills in other areas compared to those of the mycenaeans whom are focused solely on war. The minoan civilization was established on the island of crete. The mycenaean civilization was established on peloponese, south of athens close to corinth. The minoans was a naval civilization and the mycenaean were a land civilization.
