Product Overview

Impossible Burger, smells, handles, cooks and tastes like ground beef from cows. The Impossible Burger is sold at restaurants in the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore and Macau. Itā€™s available at thousands of restaurants, served as tacos, empanadas, meatballs, dumplings ā€” and of course, the classic American burger. The Impossible Burger is also available in select grocery stores in the United States. Itā€™s delicious in any dish that uses ground beef ā€” and is simple to cook on the BBQ, charbroiler, flat top grill, steamer or sautĆ© pan.1Ā

Recent Product GrowthĀ

There have been shortages of common goods such as toilet paper, yeast, and flour due to high demand during the pandemic ā€” and recent developments indicate that the same might happen to meat. In the midst of these scarcities, sales of plant-based meat alternatives have been booming, with sales up 255% in the last week of March in comparison to the same week last year. This growth outpaces that of meat sales, which only increased 53 % over the same period, according to Nielsen (via Forbes).2

You are a counselor working with a married couple, Bryan and Dustin, in which Bryan is an active duty marine for the US military. Bryan is on leave from duty, and the pair is seeking counseling for concerns that have arisen in their seven-year relationship. Each time they wish to start counseling to address their concerns, Bryan gets called to duty, which stalls any progress they could make. After his most recent tour and prior to his leave, Bryan was injured and has been experiencing physical pain. In the most recent session, Dustin has disclosed he is concerned with Bryan's recent increased alcohol use and its impact on their social life and relationship. Dustin was noticeably uncomfortable in discussing these concerns while Bryan seemed disinterested in the conversation. In this session Dustin also disclosed that over the last week when Bryan was drinking he pushed and hit Dustin when he was trying to help Bryan to bed. Bryan attempted to downplay the incident saying "it was nothing." During this altercation, Bryan told Dustin that he "just wants to get back to his unit" and "can't wait to get the doctor's okay" to return to service, "which was hurtful" to Dustin. You've assessed that Bryan is not at risk for suicide, and although you are not a part of the VA system, you are aware of certain criteria for active duty service (e.g., fitness to perform, chain of command, potential military conduct violations).
