Background and context

The angiosperm flower has 4 parts which are arranged in whorls: Outermost whorl -calyx, second-corolla, third whorl-androecium, 4th whorl-gynoecium.

Androecium contains the male reproductive organ called stamens. Each stamen is made up of a stalk-filament and bi-lobed anther. Each lobe of anther contains the two microsporangia, thus, there are total of 4 microsporangia in the bilobed anther present at the corners. Microsporangia is a circular structure surrounded by 4 layers-epidermis, endothecium, middle layers, and innermost tapetum.
