Background and context

There are many factors such as right amount of moisture, correct temperature, and right type of soil that are needed for healthy growth and development of plants. Seeds germinate and develop into healthy plants only when optimum conditions are available. Nutrients are important substances that are needed by plants to maintain their healthy life. 

There are about 20 elements that are considered essential for a plant to complete their life cycles. They provide nutrition to plants, and one element cannot be replaced by another element.
