Background and context

The air passageway and lungs are two elements of the respiratory system. Nostrils, nasal cavities, pharynx, larynx, trachea, and bronchi, as well as bronchioles in the lungs, make up this air passageway. The nose is where air enters the body through the nostrils. There are two nasal chambers containing hair and mucus in this nostril. The air in this compartment is filtered and kept at a temperature that corresponds to the body's temperature. Following that, air flows through the pharynx, where germs are removed, and then air moves to the larynx rather than the trachea. Mucus filters the air in the trachea once more. Finally, two bronchi are formed by an enlarged form of the trachea, and each one allows more air to travel through.
