Background and context

Photosynthesis is the process mainly used by algae,  prokaryotes, and plants to prepare their food with the help of carbon dioxide and water. The process mainly occurs in the green leafy structure. The reaction can occur in the presence or the absence of light.  The reactions that depend on light are termed light-dependent and those that are independent of light are termed dark reactions.
