Introduction
A legislator (or lawmaker) is a person who creates and enacts laws, usually as a legislator's representative. The residents of the province frequently elect legislators. Legislators must be separate from representatives of the administration and court, according to the political idea of division of powers. Some democratic structures follow this idea, whereas others do not.
