Background and context

Nitrogen is an important macro-nutrient of plants. The main source of nitrogen in the air. This nitrogen present in the air is utilized by plants from ammonium salts, nitrites, and nitrates by a process called nitrogen fixation. The cycling of nitrogen between the abiotic and biotic factors is called as Nitrogen Cycle.
