A labour union is a group of workers who come together to bargain with owners over salaries and workplace conditions. A labour union aims to shift the balance of forces among management and staff by pushing businesses to engage with employees as a group instead of as persons. Collective bargaining is the term used to describe bargaining among unions and businesses.
