From the graph, it follows that the provided function is representing the positive slope associated with the interval so the interval  represents the interval associated with the increase of derivative. The intervals and represent the intervals which are associated with the decrease of the derivative because before point 2 on the horizontal axis the slope is represented by a non-positive value and it again becomes negative after point 5 on the horizontal axis.
