Background and context

The animal reproductive system is important for the continuity of its generation. The major function of the reproductive system is fertilization, growth, development of the offspring. The male and female reproductive structure is different from each other yet they share some similarities. They both have internal and external reproductive features.
The external reproductive organs of females are the pubis, labia, and clitoris all are combined to form vulva. Internal genitalia are the vagina, uterus, ovaries, and oviduct.
