Background and context
As prokaryotes lack the nucleus, the process of transcription, translation, and mRNA (messenger ribonucleic acid) degradation can happen at the same time. The prokaryotes have the same RNA polymerases to cause the transcription of all genes. The polymerase enzyme would be having many sub-units that are related to different functions.
