Background and context

The symmetry varies from animal to animal. Some creatures have no symmetry and are referred to as asymmetrical, whereas others have bilateral and radial symmetry. Cnidarians have radial symmetry, which implies the animal is structured in a round pattern, just like a wheel. Two mirror or duplicate images are obtained regardless of where the organism is cut longitudinally.
