Background and context

ATP attaches to the G actin in the nucleation phase of actin filament polymerization forming the base for the F- actin.
F-actin is a longer molecule which is undergoing elongation and dissassembly via treadmilling ie. the atp hydrolysis then allows for elongation to occur when energetically unfavorable.
