Wilfred Laurier University is located in Waterloo, Ontario Canada. Wilfred Laurier University was named after Canada's seventh prime minister who served from 1986-1911, and in the House of Commons for 45 years. The University is over 100 years old and started as the Evangelical Lutheran Seminar in 1911. Today, Wilfred Laurier University focused on building the whole person through mind, body and spirit. They have two main campuses in Waterloo and Brantford, with over 19,00 undergraduate and graduate students. Both campuses are only an hour away from Toronto.

Laurier is committed to offer an exceptional range and depth of study for its 17,000 full-time and part-time students. There are over 60 undergraduate programs of study include social sciences, arts, business, music, social work, economics, and education. The international renowned Faculty of Music, in particular, is considered the best in the country. Across all these programs, the goal is to address global, health, social and environmental problems and advance creative pursuits. Laurier professors are known for their expertise, knowledge, and commitment to their students. Experiential learning is also a keystone of the student experience, with countless opportunities to put classroom knowledge and theory into practice.

The University is represented in athletics by the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks. The university's varsity teams compete in the Ontario University Athletics conference of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport. Of note is the school's football team, which has become one of the best in the conference.
