Baylor University is a private Baptist university chartered in 1845. Located in Waco, Texas, Baylor was chartered by the last congress of The Republic of Texas. It is the oldest continuing university in the state of Texas. Baylor consists of approximately 1000 acres along the banks of the Brazos River.
